Cover Screw Problem: Reproduction screw allows cover to be over tightened. Fix: Loosen screw or replace with original.
Tension Spring Problem: The spring is too strong. The pressure of the spring will not allow the motor to turn freely. Fix: Add an extra washer to drop the spring or slightly bend the spring to reduce the pressure.
Brush Spring Problem: The spring is too strong. The friction of the brush on the commutator will not allow the motor to turn freely. Or the opposite: The spring tension is too light. The brushes are not making a good electrical contact. Fix: Replace spring.
